Visa Global Company Affiliation on Oct. 22 submitted two trademark apps that hinted at programs of launching a crypto wallet, in accordance to a Twitter publish by trademark legal professional Mike Kondoudis.

  • The credit rating card giant filed applications for non-downloadable program utilised “to look at, access, retail outlet, check, control, trade, send out, acquire, transmit, and trade electronic forex, virtual forex, cryptocurrency, digital and blockchain property, and non-fungible tokens.”
  • The trademark software also included filings for application for the “management of digital transactions” and “use as a cryptocurrency wallet.”
  • Visa’s filing also showcased non-fungible tokens (NFTs), referred to as “non-downloadable virtual goods, particularly, a collectible series of non-fungible tokens.” 
  • The corporation also hinted at metaverse ambitions, as it submitted for application “providing digital environments in which people can interact for leisure, leisure or entertainment uses obtainable in the virtual earth.”
